Springfield, May 8, 2002 -- staff/ Michael S. Gordon -- Metal sculpture of turtles with Yertle the Turtle on top at the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden at the Quadrangle Wednesday. The garden will be officially unveiled in a ceremony on Friday, May 31, 2002.CUTLINE: 5/29/02 - Sam I Am serves up a plate of green eggs and ham at the Dr. Seuss National Memorial, above. Below left is Dr. Seuss author Theodor S. Geisel and below right is his stepdaughter, sculptor Lark Grey Dimond-Cates. At lower left, the Yertle the Turtle statue stands above a reflecting pond.
