Westkill Creek 2
Westkill Creek is near some of the Catskill 3500 peaks. It is a pleasant walk into where the trails junction with the stream within view the whole distance. This is a photo from a hike I did this fall.

Autumn Flow
Autumn Leaves Reflected In A Brook Adirondacks, New York Autumn evening --- Knees in arms, Like a saint. - Kobayashi Issa 1763-1827, Japanese Haiku poet I love hunting for the best of autumn reflections. What a great excuse to splash along a stream bank, bobbing up and down like a blue heron.
Darwin Canyon Lakes
Darwin Canyon Lakes via South Lake above Bishop, CA. Taken on the way to climb a couple of high mountains on a 3-day weekend. At the end of this canyon, we picked up the John Muir trail.
Yellowstone Falls
A beautiful waterfall as it comes roaring out of Yellowstone Lake and into the Yellowstone gorge. There was still a lot of snow visible from the winter build-up in the gorge.
Rafting on Green River
My first river raft trip was on the Green River that runs thru Dinosaur National Mon in Utah. The following year we went on a raft trip on the Colo. river thru part of the Grand Canyon. A lot of thrills when you hit the big rapids.
Yosemite Falls
Wind blown water from the falls drifts off to the left. In spring, when the snowfall is at max-melting, this can be a beautiful sight. Located in Yosemite National Park, CA. One of the most heavily visited of our National Parks.
Hidden Valley Falls
I needed a climbing rope to let myself down the steep bank to get to this falls and also to help me get back up the bank. Located along Tioga Pass road going to Yosemite Nat. Park in CA.
Owens River
Mountain snow, the source of water for the Owens River, this in turn supplies a lot of water, by way of aquaducts, to the Los Angeles, CA area. This image was taken near the Owens Valley town of Bishop, CA.

The morning light is the best.
The Scent of Cypress
A cool paddle among some very aromatic cypress trees on the Loxahatchee River, Jupiter, Florida. Canon EOS D30, Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 lens.
Solitude
If you like fly fishing, it doesn't get much better than early morning on the Snake River in Yellowstone, with the Tetons in the distance.
