West Portico
This is the west side of the Vanderbilt Mansion as the sun was setting. This historical site is located in Hyde Park, NY. Overlooking the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains in the distance. Formal gardens are maintained during the growing season.
Mohonk Morning

With older mountains, the Alabama Hills in the foreground, this image of Mt. Whitney, at 14,494 ft is the highest mountain in the contiguous United States and was taken from Lone Pine, CA.
Snow on Checkerboard Mesa
Checkerboard Mesa, located in Zion Nat. Park in Utah, is another very famous and popular landmark to photograph. I happened to be there, after an early season snow, and I believe this image gives this landmark a different appearance than you might normally see.
