Jane Glesne
I rediscovered photography in 1989. After years of compartmentalizing my life into education, fiber art - such as spinning, weaving and batik - or into nature study, I was thrilled to find one medium that could encompass my love of the earth, my passion for texture and design, and my need to teach. Through my work, I hope to encourage people to slow down and look more closely at the incredible natural world around them. Living in Vermont, I find that the mysteries, delights and beauty the woods provide are endless. My work has appeared on the covers of Adirondack Life and In Vermont. Photos have also been used in the text of Adirondack Life, Vermont Natural History and Healing Options.

Original Photography by GP
All photos are original images taken by me while on the road with my beat-up Nikon F3. I would like to say that photography is not the sole purpose of my wanderings. It's just a wonderful side effect of the drug that is exploration. I travel to learn everything about a place and I enjoy photographing these new environments in order to share the experiences with others to better understand what I have learned, or maybe to realize what I have missed altogether. The challenge is trying to capture some of the mystery of these far-off places in my pictures. All are shot on either Kodak or Fuji Pro slide film, and none are digitally altered in any way. Richard S. Duncan
My favorite areas of Photography are portraits, nature and gardens.Everything is shot with a Hasselblad. I do Fine Art and Commerical photography. My work has been published in a number of books and magazines. All photographs are limited editions, signed and unsigned. My attraction is to color. My approach is to just go out and follow my instincts, attractions or feelings, then point the camera and freeze the interplay of light and form that I see. Of course, ones technical experience also comes into play. I use a 2 1/4 camera with a 120mm lens most of the time. I studied drawing and painting but did not like the isolation. The idea of working with light more directly was fascinating to me. My formal education includes the Rhode Island School of Design, The Boston Museum School, where I set up a color department after teaching myself, and I was a student of a French Painter, Jacques Fabert in San Franscisco. Originally from upstate NY, I have returned after a 30 year absence. You could say I have a genetic dispostion for this area. The colors of this area are their own. It is not the bright, garish colors of nature, but the subtle interplay's and changes that happen as the seasons change, this is where my interest is. I try and capture the beauty I see and try and keep ahead of the developments, or hopefully remind them of the beauty so the developers will work with the beauty of upstate New York. The images I record are sign posts of my journey in this life. Many of the images are limited additions. Richard will be showing at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown NY from April 1 thru June 15 and at the Smithy Pioneer Gallery from June 24 thru July 24.
